Keeping Skimboarding Moving Forward

2º STOP OF THE EURO SKIM TOUR

The Intrafalgar Skim Contest is part of the European Skimboarding Circuit (Euro Skim Tour), supported by the three national federations. Our event represents the second stop of this year’s three-stop tour, which takes place across Portugal, Spain, and France.

SPANISH NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP 2026

At the Intrafalgar Skim Contest, we will crown the 2026 Spanish Skimboarding Champions, making this a year of progress as we support and promote skimboarding more than ever before.

PARTICIPANT INFORMATION

Sports insurance

A) Athletes of Spanish nationality: it is mandatory to be registered with the Spanish Surfing Federation in order to participate in the Open Men’s or Women’s, Masters, or U18 category. For the U10 and U14 categories it is possible to acquire a temporary license provided by the championship organization at a cost fo 15€.

B) Athletes of other nationalities: it is mandatory to have a sports insurance, either through your country’s federation or through a temporary license provided by the championship organization, at a cost of 15€.

SCHEDULES

FRIDAY and SATURDAY: Spanish Championship and International Championship.
SUNDAY (morning only): International Championship finals and the Awards Ceremony.
*The detailed schedule will be published 1-2 days before the start of the competition.

HOW TO GET THERE

The competition will take place at Faro de Trafalgar Beach, located in Los Caños de Meca, Cádiz, Spain.

Please note: The beach can only be accessed on foot.

WHERE TO STAY:

The most convenient option is to stay near Zahora or Los Caños de Meca. If you have a car, you can also look for accommodation in Conil de la Frontera, El Palmar, Barbate, or Vejer de la Frontera.
There are many accommodation options in Los Caños de Meca and the surrounding area, including several campsites.

Environmental Guidelines

Skimboarding is a sport practiced in natural environments, specifically on beaches. For this reason, it is essential that we respect and care for our beaches. This is especially important at Faro de Trafalgar Beach, as it is located within a protected natural area. We kindly ask all participants to follow these guidelines:

• Use only the designated beach access points.
• Do not drive vehicles onto the beach.
• Near the event organisation tents, you will find several bins for disposing of any waste generated during the event.
• At the end of each day, all participants are asked to collect and remove anything that does not belong on the beach (umbrellas, towels, chairs, rubbish, etc.).
• We recommend using sunscreen that is environmentally friendly and safe for marine life.
• Food waste must also be collected and removed from the beach. Their degradation is much slower than we might think, and they pollute the environment.
